Nonalcoholic Yuzu Sour

A mocktail for your dry january, or literally any other day of the year. The n/a yuzu sour! ๐Ÿ‹ See how itโ€™s made here.

Makes 1 Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 oz simple syrup

  • 2 oz black tea (room temp or cold)

  • Few dashes bitters

  • Juice of 1 lemon or lime, or 1 oz

  • .5 oz yuzu ponzu (ponzu is a vinegar, if you cannot find it just use .25 oz yuzu juice and .25 oz rice wine vinegar)

  • Heavy sprinkle of cayenne (shake into your hand like I did in the video)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Ice

  • Garnish: citrus peel, maraschino cherry and a dusting of cayenne pepper

Make it!

  1. Combine all ingredients, except ice, into a shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds.

  2. Add ice, shake for 15 more seconds and strain into a chilled coupe.

  3. Top with a citrus peel and maraschino cherry skewer, and a dusting of cayenne pepper. Enjoy!
